Tasmanian Police Trust Charity Ride

This year Kaine’s Plastering have the great pleasure of sponsoring the Tasmanian Police Trust Charity Ride. We’ll be switching out the high-vis for lycra, cycling over 400km and nearly 5000 metres of elevation in three days to raise money for a great cause.

Over the past 12 years the charity bike ride has raised much needed funds for the following charities and non-profit organisations:

Down Syndrome Tasmania
Ronald McDonald House Hobart
Camp Quality Tasmania
Menzies Research Institute Tasmania
The Heart Foundation
Appin Hall
HeartKids Tasmania
Autism Tasmania
Cancer Council
White Ribbon
Black Dog Institute

Work Experience – Dylan

As a small business, we recognise our ability to provide valuable work experience opportunities for Tasmanians who may have had trouble entering the workforce.

Once a week, Dylan joins the Kaine’s Plastering team on site. Dylan is 18 and has Down Syndrome, and doesn’t let anything hold him back. Since joining us, Dylan has learned a broad range of practical skills and his confidence is through the roof. Each week he gets stuck into the job and the team really love having him around.
We look forward to continuing working with Dylan, and hope to organise many more work experience opportunities in the future.
